Pet Portraits done on scratch board from photos sent to me from pet owners via email.

Scratch boards range in size but a typical dimension of 8"x10" works well and is easily framed by a standard sized frame.

8"x10" custom portraits are $165 total

Scratch board is a masonite panel that is coated with a thin layer of clay and then India ink.  I use a tool to scratch the image onto the surface highlighting the light areas and leaving the darker areas only lightly scratched.  It is a reverse process from typical graphite drawings on paper.  Instead of using a tool to add the dark highlights I am using a tool to add the light highlights.
